August 2009

The CFFO sent a letter to Ontario Pork encouraging thme to do a quick study that examines the following three options for the future;
•  The positives and negatives of maintaining the status quo
•  The positives and negatives of forming an ASRA program for the pork sector
•  The positives and negatives of pushing for Supply Management for the pork sector
And that an information package be distributed to all pork producers on these options, so that the industry can move forward in making an informed choice.

June 2009

A letter to the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure and the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care regarding the health concerns surrounding Wind Turbines.

A letter to the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canda and the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs regarding Agri-Stability and Agri-Invest.

A letter to Canadian Pork Council regarding the issues surrounding the Canadian Quality Assurance (CQA) Program.

A letter to Gerry Ritz, Minister of Agriculture of Agri-Food Canada regarding the Country of Origin Labelling (COOL).
