This annual registration provides you with a valid registration number needed for many OMAFRA programs. The Farm Property Class Tax Rate Program (25% of the municipal residential tax rate) requires a valid registration number.
The registration is a two-step process, including both the completion of a registration form and the payment of a Farm Organization Funding Fee.
Contact AGRICORP at 1-866-327-3678 (toll-free) or by email: fbr@agricorp.com to receive the registration form for the first time.
The registration fee (currently set at $157.50, GST included) will be forwarded to one of the three accredited General Farm Organizations (GFOs) as your choice on page 1 of the FBR form indicates.
Should you choose CFFO as your GFO, AGRICORP will forward your $157.50 fee payment to CFFO once the registration process is completed.
Note: Payment of the fee alone does not constitute a valid registration.
Both the fee payment AND the completed registration form are required.
Payment of your Farm Organization Funding fee to CFFO grants the right to vote and participate in the Federation's activities, but it does not automatically confer full CFFO member status.
If you indicate your agreement with our Basis and Purpose Statements,
you are automatically granted full member status with the right:
- to be elected to Executive Board
- to be elected to a District Association Board
- to be a delegate to Provincial Council
- to be delegate to Annual Convention
and
- to represent the Federation in farm coalitions and other initiatives.

CFFO Membership: Claim RST Exemptions
Effective April 1, 2005, Farmer ID cards issued by general farm organizations like the Christian Farmers Federation of Ontario (CFFO), can now be used to obtain Retail Sales Tax (RST) exemptions at point-of-sale.
RST exemptions generally apply to the purchase of farm machinery, livestock, feed, fertilizer, fencing, seed, farm chemicals, drainage pipe and similar goods bought by farmers for farming. RST exemptions do not apply to the purchase of cars, trucks, vans, computers, phones, paper, sawmills, guns, ammunition, work cloths or water treatment chemicals, whether for farm use or not. An expanded list of RST exemptions is now available to farmers. Click here for a copy. The Ministry of Finance has produced a comprehensive guide (RST Guide 807), explaining the requirements, including complete lists of items eligible for RST exemptions as well as items that are ineligible.
Farmers who do not hold a Farmer ID card, choose not to be members of a general farm organization (GFO) or fail to provide the supplier with a Farmer ID card at the time of purchase, may issue a valid Purchase Exemption Certificate to make eligible (farm-related) purchases, exempt from RST.

CFFO's Approach to Membership
Membership in the CFFO is open to all who are in agreement with the basis and purpose of the Federation.
Members pay an annual fee or the farm business in which they are involved pays the fee on their behalf.
The annual fee extends memberships for one person and that person's spouse. The minimum age for membership is 16.
Memberships lapse 12 months after a membership renewal is due.
