Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC)

Farm Credit Canada Loans 
FCC is offering loan payment deferral options, access to credit and other supports. 

Canada Emergency Business Account (CEBA)
Interest-free loans of $60,000, with $20,000 forgiven if the amount is repaid prior to December 31, 2022.  Deadline to apply is March 31, 2021.

Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (CEWS)
A subsidy for employers who have seen a drop in revenue due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Canada Recovery Benefit
Income support for employed or self-employed individuals who are not eligible for Employment Insurance.

Canada Recovery Sickness Benefit
Income support for employed or self-employed individuals who are sick or need to self-isolate.

Canada Recovery Caregiving Benefit
Income support for employed or self-employed individuals who can't work because they must care for a dependant.

Provincial Supports

Agricorp COVID-19 Support
Agricorp regularly offers production insurance and risk management programs updates as circumstances shift during the pandemic.

You can also contact Agricorp's Customer Care at 1-888-247-4999, but calls and claims related to financial distress will be top priority. 

Ontario Small Business Support Grant
Eligible businesses can apply for grants from $10,000-$20,000 for needs resulting from the provincewide shutdown.

Ontario Digital Main Street Program
This program also helps Ontario small businesses launch online stores.

Emergency Child Care

Ontario has expanded eligibility for the targeted emergency child care program to farmers in regions where remote learning continues.

Support for Employers

Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (CEWS)
A subsidy for employers who have seen a drop in revenue due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Enhanced Agri-food Workplace Protection Program
Support is also available for farmers who must purchase PPE, redesign workstations, alter housing and transportation, etc., as a result of a COVID-19 outbreak among on-farm employees. Farmers can now apply for up to $15,000 for preventative expenses and $100,000 for small capital projects. Applications are being accepted on a continuous basis, while funding is available or until February 26, 2021.

Mandatory Isolation Support for Temporary Foreign Workers Program
Receive $1,500 for each temporary foreign worker you employ to ensure quarantine requirements are fully met. Applications for the 2021 program year will be accepted until March 31, 2021.

Ontario Employer Health Tax exemption increase
This exemption has been increased from $490,000 to $1 million for 2020, due to the coronavirus.
